Our story begins several years ago, when we set ourselves the goal of offering our guests a unique and unforgettable holiday: a masterpiece.
That’s why every year we commit to renewing our world, improving our accommodations and facilities, and offering an extensive and innovative Animation programme.
But here, we want to share with you the milestones that shaped our journey and made us who we are today.
Four entrepreneurs – Enrico Aldrighetti, Luigi Ferro, Alberto Rigo and Mario Pellegrini – chose to create a place that could combine the beauty of the landscape with the charm of a holiday, focusing on high quality and innovation.
The memory of that first meeting still lives on in our reception, where a plaque pays tribute to our founders.
To offer an exclusive and top-quality experience, the founders turned to Rinaldo Olivieri – architect and set designer of the Arena di Verona and the Stella di Natale scaligera – to create innovative and original architectural solutions, never seen before in hospitality facilities on Lake Garda.
Even for the brand and logo design, they sought excellence. They entrusted the task to Ettore Tosi of Tosi Communication who, in search of inspiration, spent a whole day alone on what were then the bare lands of the Park.
Sitting on the highest ledge, Tosi admired Sirmione, home of the poet Catullus and beloved of the noblewoman Clodia, to whom he dedicated many poems, for her beauty and grace.
It was right there, reflecting on the legend that tells of the lovers meeting on these lands, that he was struck by the gentle slope of the terrain down to the Lake. And so came the brilliant idea: to call it “Piani di Clodia”.
And so, “Piani di Clodia Holiday Park” was born!
Staying true to the poet’s legacy, the Catullo Village was built – with pitches, the first service blocks and the Catullo Restaurant. The first tennis and football courts also took shape.
Innovation took centre stage with the Playa, Rio and Laguna pools – among the very first on Lake Garda to bring fun to life with water slides.
The first Maxicaravans were introduced, along with the Reef and Bahia pools, marking a turning point in our offering.
Right from the start, Animation has been a key element of our identity: every year we update and enrich the programme to ensure fun for all ages.
Since the beginning, Piani di Clodia has had a strong environmental commitment.
In 2000, the first solar and photovoltaic panels were installed to encourage increasingly sustainable work and business practices.
Our second major expansion began: the Virgilio area was acquired, and with it came the Virgilio Waterpark, the Marco Aurelio Restaurant and the first large playground at Piani di Clodia.
The Country House was renovated to offer top-quality accommodation and services.
In 2011, we began supporting the social enterprise “I Bambini delle Fate”, founded that very year.
The initiative aims to promote the economic and social inclusion of families with children and young people with disabilities.
We developed an innovative water purification system – a strategic investment to ensure the highest level of safety and quality.
We use oxygen from the air for biological treatment, turning water into drinking water.
Treated service water is used to irrigate our green areas.
Drinking water is subject to strict internal and external controls to ensure its quality and monitor consumption.
Always attentive to technological progress, we remain committed to offering a welcoming and eco-friendly experience.
We began an important renovation project for our service facilities.
The bathrooms were completely rebuilt to meet the highest standards of hygiene and comfort, using advanced, eco-friendly materials.
The Park expanded again with the creation of the Bungalow area “Borgo dei Colli” – accommodations focused on comfort, eco-sustainability and well-being.
The bungalows feature photovoltaic panels and green insulation systems, fully respecting the surrounding environment.
Celebrating beauty, striving for excellence, and creating unforgettable holidays – these values led us to earn our fifth star.
This prestigious achievement inspired us to further improve our accommodations, services and activities.
In 2017, we launched the Fun Academy, a space for endless fun where kids make memories and friendships!
That same year, Dreamland and the Mini Golf were introduced, and the fifth service block was completely rebuilt.
A little gem was also born: Relais Villa Clodia.
This exclusive complex of 10 suites offers a five-star luxury retreat for those seeking relaxation and privacy on Lake Garda.
Since the very beginning, we’ve welcomed pets with dedicated services.
Thanks to our expanded pet-friendly accommodations, now everyone can enjoy their dream holiday!
Our staff are a vital part of our Park.
In 2020, we completed the renovation of our offices to create a modern space for both long-standing and new team members.
The project “67 Columns for the Arena di Verona” aims to symbolically rebuild the outer ring of arches lost in the 1117 earthquake.
Piani di Clodia joined the initiative from the start to support the growth plans of the Arena di Verona Foundation, which promotes the city’s culture and performances worldwide
Piani di Clodia has always believed in sport as a tool for well-being and pure fun.
The renovation of the tennis and basketball courts and the addition of the padel court significantly enhanced our sports facilities.
Alongside solar energy, we’ve always promoted sustainable work habits to raise environmental awareness.
In 2023, we proudly earned GSTC certification, which recognises our commitment to global standards in sustainable tourism.
In 2024, the Piani di Clodia ETS Foundation was established to provide tangible support to the local community, particularly in the Province of Verona and Lake Garda.
In 2025, we completed a major project to strengthen the lakeside area.
After years of work, we restored a structurally fragile and geologically unstable zone using reinforced earth and native plants, stabilising and reshaping the landscape.
The slope leading to the lake was redesigned with local plants and hazel trees – home to the many squirrels living in our Holiday Park.
Birdhouses were installed to foster biodiversity, adding harmony and beauty.
That same year, we also renovated the Laguna Pool and introduced new Glamping solutions, offering an even more exclusive experience in nature – with no compromise on comfort – and our Luxury Lagoon Maxicaravan, the ultimate luxury for holidays with your loyal four-legged friends.
