Luonto
Lake Garda can boast an outstanding natural heritage, which
developed here over the centuries thanks to a peculiar climate. The area
of Mount Baldo concentrates vegetation segments typical of a wide variety
of environments (mediterranean, alpine, rock and prairie). An itinerary
among different species, some of which very rare, can be made in the protected
areas and at the Botanical garden, where plants, labelled to be easily
recognisable, grow in their natural habitat.
Another lush oasis, the Sigurtà Park, is situated in
the town of Valeggio sul Mincio. Its paths, also accessible by bike, wind
among woods, lawns, walks bordered by iris, tulips and roses, centennial
trees, pines, firs, poplars and ponds containing water lilies, but also
turtles and multicoloured fishes.
The Natura Viva Park is engaged in the protection of endangered
species and provides information on different kinds of animals. It offers
the unique opportunity to get acquainted with over 200 rare animals
coming from all over the world, while the adjoining Safari park allows you
to watch savannah animals from a safe distance.
